I read about project 365 a little while ago and thought it was such a great way to document a year, and to think a bit more creatively about how I photograph things. I am going to attempt to document 2011 in one picture per day. I am thinking about printing and binding my project at the end of the year, so that will be my incentive to keep it going! I may not post every day, but my aim will be to at least take a photo every day, so I will be carrying around my little cybershot everywhere :-)

Day 354 - Resolution?
Now as it is in the above photo, anyone might think that they had walked into Peta's classroom instead of mine! I have never had a classroom looking so clean and having all the cupboard space really did help. So did vacuuming and cleaning years of dirt off various items! Dare I make it one of my resolutions to have a tidy classroom in 2012?

Day 326 - Princess in Town
Henry and I braved the rain this afternoon with maybe a few hundred others to wait to see Princess Mary and Prince Frederik of Denmark who were at the War Memorial this afternoon to lay a wreath at the tomb of the unknown soldier. After a 20 minute wait in the drizzle, we spotted the police escort coming down Anzac Parade and Mary and Fred finally arrived. She was so elegant and of course looked absolutely gorgeous. After stopping for a brief wave they went inside. Now if Henry had been playing nice I may have been able to wait for the royal couple to come back out, but that was not the case! Peta (friend and fellow blogger) did wait and got a much better photo. She even got to meet the princess. Her girls Ava and Olivia were most excited to give the flowers they had brought, as well. For a better close up, you could look at Peta's blog!

Day 265 - So We Ate Thai
As the end of term draws near we often have a meal out together. This one was also in celebration of Lori's last day nearing in preparation for her retirement. We ate out at SoiVIII Thai (creative name huh?) at Griffith shops and the food was fantastic. We finished off with a dessert from Flute, which was divine. You may remember that my birthday tasting plate came from there too. The picture above is of me, Peta and Sue and was taken by special guest photographer, Felicity!
Oh - did you notice what day it is? 100 days left to go!

Day 241 - I Can See You!
Henry loves this book that was a 1st birthday present from Peta's family. He often reads it while he is getting nappied after his bath of an evening, mainly because the window in it keeps him entertained and occupied! I always get a big laugh when I look through it at him.

Day 222 - Need a Remedy!
Peta Kenningham That is no good ladies, let's just say I feel your pain.... just not right now. Try the onion method. Cut an onion in half and put it in their room, I swear it worked, either that or I was just so exhausted!
10 August at 21:43 ·
Peta Kenningham only for the chopper of the onion B. You just put it in their room, not in their bed! :p
10 August at 21:47 ·
Belinda Moss I just did... now he is screaming :( not the effect I was hoping for!!!
10 August at 21:54 ·
Peta Kenningham Poor Henry. :-( I hope he settles soon for you. Panadol and nurofen given?
10 August at 22:03 ·
Belinda Moss He's ok :) it was brief... had panadol before bed, his temp is currently down and now he has an onion by his bed. Meanwhile I have a sore throat coming on... Sorry to hijack your status update Helen!
10 August at 22:07 ·
Peta Kenningham Yes Sorry Helen! Just leaving some light reading for you! Always the way. Look after yourselves! Call if you need anything.

Day 188 - Enough Chocolate?
The last couple of times I have been over to the newly refurbished Westfield at Belconnen, I have noticed the huge queue out the door at Max Brenner. I thought the first week of the NSW holidays would be a good time to go (before the hordes of ACT people are infiltrating the shops in droves) so Peta, Cathy and I and met up over there today. The above is a chocolate brownie... almost black in colour and drizzled in pure melted chocolate to feed my addiction! I really should go back to Koko Black in Civic so I can decide which I like best!
