I read about project 365 a little while ago and thought it was such a great way to document a year, and to think a bit more creatively about how I photograph things. I am going to attempt to document 2011 in one picture per day. I am thinking about printing and binding my project at the end of the year, so that will be my incentive to keep it going! I may not post every day, but my aim will be to at least take a photo every day, so I will be carrying around my little cybershot everywhere :-)

Day 128 - First Mothers Day
I would love to have posted a photo of Henry and myself (since it is Mothers Day), but this blog is supposed to be photos that I have taken myself. Regardless, this is such a lovely photo too! Yes I did take this one, using the timer on the camera. I have been wanting to try out my newish camera for some proper family pics, particularly since Autumn has hit Canberra and finally we did, this afternoon on what must have been the coldest Autumn afternoon ever, to be outside! After taking a couple of hundred photos in the piles of leaves we took refuge in the Portrait Gallery (unfortunately it was too late to get coffee in their coffee shop, but at least it was warm). I will post some more pics on my other blog, including some taken in the gallery afterwards. Happy Mothers Day!

Day 107 - Pudding Weather!
I adore this really easy chocolate baked rice pudding of Bill Granger's that I made for dessert tonight. Robbie and Robert stopped in overnight on their way back from the Snowy, so I made this after dinner. The recipe is as follows; Enjoy!
Grease a shallow ceramic baking dish and place 1/3 cup of aborio rice, sprinkle 2 tablespoons of caster sugar. Place 150g of dark chocolate, chopped, 3 cups of milk and a teaspoon of vanilla extract in a saucepan and heat until melted and combined. Pour over rice and bake for an hour at 160.

Day 106 - Canberra in Autumn
Canberra really is a beautiful place in Autumn. Because I have an idea for some photos I would like to take of Henry in the leaves, I have been looking for a good spot with lots of fallen leaves for tossing about! Not many on the ground yet, but I found this scene at the playing fields at Calwell in the afternoon after a quick trip to the shops.
